wy was raised by omegas, so he cooks for hj and makes the nest bc hj is shit at it... wy regularly gets mistaken for a beta bc how he acts and also bc hj is loud and opinionated and everyone assumes no alpha would ever tolerate how hj bosses wy around.

hj on the other hand, is a huge omega rights activist. they regularly go to protests together, and wy always stays in the bg bc it's hj's show! he's just there to be The Alpha if something goes wrong. but usually nothing goes wrong. usually.

this protest get violent, with hj getting bottled. wy doesn't get that one, but it puts him on edge, already alert for more danger. someone throws something, and wy doesn't know what it is, but he pushes hj out of the way and takes cycle-inducer laced smoke straight to his face.

he gets... a little feral. despite his chill demeanor, wy is extremely in touch with his wolf, which makes his ruts rougher than most alphas. hj's been trying for years to get wy to let him help, saying that at least they can try, but wy keeps saying no.

wy's never let hj help with his rut, bc he prides himself on being a "good" alpha who is in control of himself, but he's always been a little wild in rut! it's terrifying! he doesn't enjoy it, and he enjoys it even less when it's sudden and he couldn't prepare!

but hj isn't afraid. he sees wy's fangs and starts dripping slick bc he might be an omega rights activist but fighting for omega rights means fighting for their right to find their alpha bf going feral hot. he reaches out and wy snaps. growling, wy grabs hj and presses him down.

they're still in public, but hj can't help the way he moans as wy's teeth sink into the back of his neck. hj goes boneless in wy's hold, feeling himself being picked up. then he's tumbling to the ground again bc medical personnel on hand tranquilize wy.

they take him to the hospital to deal with him being drugged and in induced rut, which makes him super aggressive. emts patch hj's scrapes and brace his wrist, which got sprained in the commotion. then hj gets taken to the hospital bc he needs to help his mate!

when he gets there he gets ushered into a rut room bc when the tranqs wore off, wy became completely unmanageable. he keeps trying to break out of the room, because his mate is in danger! he cannot be here! but when hj enters the room he calms almost immediately.

wy again bites hj's neck, making him go boneless, and carries him over to the bed. he noses at hj's scent glands and builds him a lil nest from the meager blankets provided in the room and the whole time hj's cooing about this

then they have a lot of extremely enjoyable rut sex. afterward wy is, like, so ashamed and upset with himself bc hj looks like he got mauled. hj on the other hand is like "naw that was fuckin great when's ur next rut can you maul me like this on the reg?"

eventually the two of them find out about modern mating runs and do those. hj loves being hunted and wy's wolf becomes a lot more settled now that wy isn't suppressing him so much. win-win, everyone's happy! the end. ❤
