OKAY the braintrust (gc by name of "lino's sex apartment") workshopped it, here's our answer: trainee!HJ and boxer!SH who have been dating for a couple years but SH is getting more popular and HJ is about to debut so they've been on the rocks and are currently taking a break

during their break, HJ debuts and quickly gains some... Devoted™ fans. he gets kidnapped a few months into his debut and it's not for long but while they're trying to figure out if it's safe for him to be in public again, his management reluctantly stashes him at SH's place

HJ is alot shaken and is like "hey? are we getting back together? what are we?" and SH is like "we can think about that later, i am more concerned that you're safe and well" and maybe they do end up together for good! maybe they break up for real! who knows. not me.
